The Challenge

The LMS had to blend live cohort sessions, async modules, and AI-assisted grading without overwhelming instructors. Performance and accessibility targets were non-negotiable for university procurement.

The Solution

We used Next.js for SSR-heavy catalog and lesson pages, streaming video where needed, and a modular content model. Instructor tooling got bulk actions, rubrics, and safe AI drafts with human-in-the-loop review.

Results

  • Core learner flows met WCAG AA in the audited scope
  • Instructor grading time fell measurably on pilot courses
  • Video start failures reduced after CDN and player hardening
  • Feature flags let curriculum teams ship experiments safely
